BorderLands Gravel Moves Its Race Weekend Hub to Raul Castro Park

For 2026, we are excited to share an important update. Our pre- and post-race venue is moving to Raul Castro Park in Douglas, Arizona.

Raul Castro Park sits in the heart of the community and has long been a gathering place for celebrations, art walks, performances, and family events. With shaded green space, open plazas, and room to spread out, it gives BorderLands Gravel the opportunity to bring everything together in one place and create a fuller race weekend experience.

This move allows us to better support riders and their families while inviting the broader Douglas community into the celebration. Instead of rushing off after the finish, racers can linger, refuel, celebrate, and connect. That matters to us, and it matters to the town that hosts this event.

From the Mercado to the awards ceremony to the final celebration on stage, the goal is simple. Create a welcoming space where riders can celebrate their effort, families can relax, and the community of Douglas can share in the energy of race day.

BorderLands Gravel works because of the relationships behind it. With this move to Raul Castro Park, we are doubling down on what makes this event special. Staying rooted in place. Honoring culture. And creating an experience that goes well beyond the ride itself.

We hope you plan to stick around. The race may end, but the experience does not.
